Sacred Surrender & Saturn’s Rebirth
Before I get into writing this post, I want to recognize just how hard the start of 2026 has been. We are collectively grieving so much loss. While I had said the astrology of January and February would be challenging, I wasn't expecting the level and frequency of devastation to be as intense as it has been.
I hope you are taking care of yourself and others. More than ever, this is a time to come together and not be in isolation. More than ever, we need to be vulnerable and share what we're grieving, what we fear, and what are raging about. Sharing with each other is powerful. It brings us together. It leads to healing. And it holds the promise of hope and change.
I want to share the astrology of this moment with you because I wholeheartedly believe that cosmic knowledge helps us orient ourselves in these turbulent times. It may not fix anything, especially if we're looking to astrology to gain a sense of control. But it will help us root back into ourselves and Higher Consciousness. It helps us reconnect with our soul's journey in this realm. It steers us in the direction of our purpose in this very moment.
We are one week away from the Solar Eclipse (Feb 17). This final stretch of the lunar cycle is a space of surrender before a new and powerful eclipsed lunar portal opens.
Right now is not a time to force things to happen. This is the time to let go.
Ask yourself:
What hasn’t been working over the last three weeks?
What’s been falling apart?
What’s been activated?
Do not overanalyze what comes up. Consider it useful information signalling towards something different: maybe a new approach or a change in perspective.
Trust that there are important messages for you this week. This is what you are being asked to surrender to.
This Last Quarter phase of the lunar cycle carries deep wisdom. When we release ego, the need to control, to force, to make something happen, we root into our wisest self. The part of us that trusts timing. The part of us that remembers why we are here and where we are heading.
In this liminal space the moon offers us, we can commune with our loving ancestors. With the unseen realms. With the cosmos. With Higher Consciousness. With the Divine.
So think of what isn’t working right now as guidance, not failure. This shift in perspective is key. It will help you receive crucial insights at this time.
This week also opens another important portal. On Friday (Feb 13), Saturn enters the sacred fire of Aries.
For the last two years in Pisces, Saturn has been dissolving us. Softening the edges. Blurring the lines between what is real and what is imagined. Asking us to mature spiritually. To take responsibility for our boundaries, our energy, our grief, our faith.
Now, at the final (anaretic) degree, there is agitation. A restlessness. A sense that something cannot continue the way it has been. This is the pressure of completion before a new cycle begins.
Saturn is old time. Ancient law. Sacred responsibility. And as it crosses into Aries, it ignites initiation, disciplined courage, a discerning intuition, embodied leadership.
After two years of dissolving, we are being asked to define not just who we are, but where we're heading and with what purpose.
Notice what feels unfinished. What feels fragile. What feels like it’s slipping away. That is sacred compost providing the opportunity to grow something new, something different.
