First Quarter Moon: What are we anchoring into?

The image in the centre of my collage is from the work of Palestinian-Lebanese artist Juliana Séraphim (1934 - 2005), titled Woman.

It’s the First Quarter moon today. I got to see it under a clear sky last night. It was both stunning and also made me uncomfortably emotional.

We’re moving through an emotionally-charged part of the lunar cycle.

This week brings up a lot as the sky dials up the frequency before a powerful Full Moon in Taurus on October 26.

In the next few day, the Sun opposes Chiron before entering Scorpio and aligning with Venus. Mercury goes retrograde in Scorpio, while Venus Retrograde re-enters Libra.

It sounds like a lot. But what does it all actually mean?

Old emotional wounds and unresolved conversations are popping up to demand attention. Think of the intensity as recognition and treat it as information, not a crisis.

We’re making note of where we've learned to compromise ourselves to maintain belonging or connection. We're being called to see an old experience through a different lens.

We’re getting clear on what we are no longer willing to exchange for security or the comfort of familiarity.

Conversations will turn inward. We may find ourselves revisiting decisions or examining motivations. Especially as we reconsider the delicate balance between our needs and the needs of others.

All of this unfolds as we approach the Full Moon in Taurus on October 26, bringing the conversation back to something essential—our need for stability, peace, and a life that feels sustainable in these turbulent times.

If you’re feeling tired or overwhelmed—which a great majority of us are—you are not alone.

The world is becoming increasingly blatant about the precarious state of our existence. And every cosmic event since 7 years ago, keeps peeling back layers of destabilizing truth. (Also how has it already been 7 years??)

Because the veils that came off from 2020 onwards are not coming back.

We have realized that what we once anchored into wasn’t steady ground.

More than that, we are realizing that the “steady ground” itself was an illusion that we were taught to believe in.

But remember this: that steadiness we crave lives within us.

We always have access to the life force inside that connects us to something far more powerful than what’s tangibly in front of us.

Integrity. Truth. Righteousness.

Divine Love.

Asha.

How can we anchor into this power?

I’m not suggesting that tangible basic needs, safety and stability don’t matter. Because they absolutely do.

But if those things can be taken away at any point, what are we actually anchoring into that is primordially abundant?

Perhaps that’s the most pressing question of this lunar cycle. And also a question that carries beyond it.

Sending care, especially to those of you with prominent fixed sign placements (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius). You must be feeling these activations more deeply right now.

I’m always here as a space of sanctuary and support.

If you wanted to book with me, please note that I’ve added a couple of new offerings, which you can see in my scheduler.

First Quarter Moon blessings,

Shadi
