Aries Full Moon 26/09/26

This Full Moon exacts at 12:49 pm ET on August 26th at 3 degrees of Aries.

There are times when patience is wisdom. And there are moments when waiting becomes another way of abandoning yourself.

The Full Moon in Aries arrives at one of those thresholds.

Aries is the first spark of the zodiac. It's the instinct that says I am here fully.

It reminds us of the part of ourselves that existed before we learned to accommodate, negotiate, explain, or ask permission.

And yet this Full Moon isn't an easy a call to action. In fact, it sets off a more complex next couple of months that hold a push-pull energy when it comes to the decisions we make.

With retrograde Chiron in Aries squaring Mars in Cancer—both planets sitting at that critical, final degree of their signs—there is an urgent feeling as though something has reached the end of its tolerance.

Old wounds around autonomy, courage, anger, rejection, protection, or the right to have needs of our own may show themselves at this time. And stay, as a theme for the entire lunar cycle.

It may be harder to discern between what is intuition and what is reactivity. Because not every urge to act is intuition. Sometimes, it's an old wound demanding immediate relief.

Sometimes anger is information and sometimes it is armour.

Sometimes the impulse to fight is actually grief that needs to be acknowledged.

Across the sky, another planetary connection offers a more gentle wisdom: the Sun in Libra forms a trine to Pluto in Aquarius. While Aries insists upon the self, Libra reminds us that we do not exist alone. Pluto asks us to look beneath appearances and recognize the deeper dynamics of power, compromise, resentment, and truth operating within our relationships.

Where have you compromised so often that you can no longer recognize what you actually want?

Where have you become so focused on protecting yourself that you've forgotten how to remain in relationship with others?

How can you be your true self within a relationship without disappearing inside it?

This cosmic moments holds a lot of emotional intensity. Honour all the feelings, especially the anger, because it too holds a message.

Let the fire illuminate before it consumes. Let is be a channel towards healing and greater things to come in your life.

Some collective themes to consider:

  • recognizing where compromise has become self-abandonment

  • becoming more honest about personal desires and needs

  • healing old wounds around rejection

  • learning when to act and when to wait

  • setting boundaries without turning them into walls

Some questions to reflect on:

  • Where have I been compromising something that genuinely matters to me?

  • What is my anger trying to tell me?

  • Where am I reacting from an old wound rather than responding to what is actually happening?

  • Where has independence become a form of self-protection?
